Should my engagment and wedding ring be the same white gold carat??

Not only is the 18 kt gold softer but it is also 75% gold (which is yellow) vs. the 14kt being only approx. 58% gold. So the 18kt will appear to have more of a yellow tinge than the 14kt after ther Rhodium ( a very high quality/expensive white plating used as a standard plating over white gold to make it brighter, whiter, and have more shine) plate wears off. If that doesn’t bother you go for the ring you love or ask if it is available in 14kt.
